Why this exists

Every missed or misrouted call costs trust.

Small businesses often run sales, support, and operations from smartphones. That keeps costs low, but it also creates a single-device bottleneck with no routing logic, weak visibility, and no clean escalation path when someone is unavailable.

SmartDivert is designed to fix that without forcing a jump straight to PBX hardware, desk phones, or heavyweight enterprise subscriptions.

The long-term goal is practical communication infrastructure: deterministic call handling first, then smarter workflow automation on top of it.

Where we are going

The platform direction is operational, not ornamental.

The next layer of value is not more UI polish. It is better routing outcomes, cleaner fallback actions, and more trustworthy call handling.

Deterministic core

Hard routing rules, emergency handling, business hours, and failover timing stay in normal code and remain auditable.

Practical AI

AI is used where it creates leverage: caller intent capture, route advice, summaries, and structured follow-up context.

BYOD-friendly delivery

The product should lower installation friction, not create more devices and provisioning work.
